Speaking at the event, Captain Mahmood described the initiative as a landmark achievement for FAAN and a benchmark for digital infrastructure development within Nigerian airports.
“This launch represents a major milestone for FAAN and sets a new benchmark for digital infrastructure and passenger experience at our airports,” he said.

He emphasized that the collaboration underscores the effectiveness of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in modernizing critical infrastructure and accelerating Nigeria’s digital economy.
“Our partnership with MTN Nigeria demonstrates how strategic PPP alignment can modernize infrastructure and significantly improve service delivery within the aviation sector,” Mahmood stated.
The FAAN director further noted that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and supports the transformation drive championed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.
Under the rollout plan, the complimentary WiFi service will be extended to the MMIA temporary terminal and other international airports nationwide within the next three months.
In her remarks, Saint-Nwafor assured passengers of reliable, secure, and efficient connectivity.

“We are committed to delivering a service that is reliable, secure, and efficient for all airport users,” she said.
She commended FAAN’s management for its collaboration and foresight in bringing the project to fruition.
“We appreciate FAAN’s leadership and vision in driving this initiative. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to enhancing customer experience and advancing Nigeria’s digital ecosystem,” Saint-Nwafor added.
The initiative is expected to improve connectivity for millions of passengers annually while reinforcing efforts to digitize operations and elevate service standards across Nigeria’s international gateways.
