Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan witnessed the signing of two contracts worth TZS 275.5 billion (USD 122 million) for the construction of 758 communication towers across the country. The contracts aim to improve telecommunication services in rural areas and ensure affordable access for residents.
President Suluhu Hassan emphasized the importance of expanding communication services to rural areas, stating that it would contribute to the country’s development and enable rural dwellers to benefit from economic growth. The president acknowledged that any additional costs incurred by telecommunication companies might affect the pricing of bundles, but highlighted the significance of providing affordable services to rural communities.
