SAP Labs India, a subsidiary of German software company SAP, has signed an MoU with the Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) in Bangalore, a private engineering college, to work together on technology research and innovation projects. The two organizations have already collaborated on a number of initiatives since February 2023. One of these programs, called Young Upstarts, aims to provide students with the tools and skills required to launch their own startups. SAP offers in-person sessions to interested students on the MSRIT campus, helping them develop an entrepreneurial mindset and the business values necessary for success.

In addition, selected students in the Young Upstarts program will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals to develop broad technical skills. As part of the student-partner program, SAP Labs India has also aligned with MSRIT to include two student partners (or campus ambassadors) in their development programs.
Sindhu Gangadharan, SVP & MD of SAP Labs India and Head of SAP User Enablement, emphasized the importance of industry-academia partnerships for research and development, innovation and economic benefits.
