Eman al-Kuwari, the Director of Digital Innovation Department at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in Qatar, emphasized the significance of partnerships with global technology providers like Huawei in driving the growth and development of the country’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector.
During a panel discussion held at the inauguration of Huawei’s new office in Doha, al-Kuwari highlighted that these partnerships involve collaboration in various areas, including infrastructure development, technology transfer, knowledge sharing and capacity building. Such collaborations enable Qatar to benefit from advanced technologies and contribute to the establishment of a knowledge-based digital economy.
Al-Kuwari also discussed the potential future collaboration between MCIT and Huawei in emerging fields like artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing. She expressed the ministry’s eagerness to adopt and leverage the latest modern technologies to drive innovation and economic growth.
