Ooredoo has recently announced a collaboration with Seashore Group at the Qatar CSR Summit in Doha, aiming to promote green living and sustainability through a recycling program. The partnership intends to encourage customers to adopt environmentally responsible behavior by allowing them to hand in unwanted mobile devices at selected Ooredoo Shops. These devices will be appropriately recycled whenever possible.
As an incentive for customers participating in the program, Ooredoo is offering 5,000 Nojoom points in exchange for suitable items. This reward system seeks to motivate individuals committed to sustainable practices and environmentally friendly choices.
Thani al-Malki, the executive director of Business at Ooredoo, expressed the belief that technology and sustainability can coexist harmoniously. The collaboration with Seashore Group allows Ooredoo to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of electronic waste while fostering sustainable practices within the community.
