AI Robotics company, Figure, has secured a $9 million equity investment from Intel Capital, a tech renowned investor, to bolster Figure’s financial position and accelerate the development of their autonomous humanoid robot, Figure 01.
Furthermore, the investment will also support the expansion of Figure’s AI data pipeline for autonomous operations and drive the company towards eventual commercialization.
Intel Capital joins other prominent investors in Figure’s Series A funding round, with bids from Parkway Venture Capital, Brett Adcock, Aliya Capital, and Bold Capital Partners, among others.
“Intel Capital is at the forefront of making big, bold frontier bets and we are excited to share the same vision of a better future,” said Brett Adcock, Founder and CEO of Figure. “This investment along with the global resources and expertise of the Intel team will help accelerate the growth and success of Figure.”
Again, Figure adds they have made impressive strides in the development of it’s autonomous humanoid, Figure 01. They entered the testing phase a few months ago and have achieved several technical milestones under the guidance of a top-notch engineering team.

“Intel Capital is constantly searching for companies that push the boundaries of innovation, and we believe that Figure has the potential to shift the way the world thinks about artificial intelligence. Figure’s focus on enhancing the labor economy is an essential part of our future, and we look forward to being at the forefront to support humanoid development,” says Managing Director at Intel Capital, Mark Lydon.
Notably, Figure 01 successfully took its first walking steps in May, marking a remarkable achievement within just one year of the company’s inception. This accomplishment represents one of the fastest turnarounds in the history of humanoid robotics, further solidifying Figure’s position as a leading player in the industry.
