The Digital Economy Magazine has named the CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh as the CEO of the Week (4th to 10th February 2024).
Serlorm Adadevoh is a distinguished figure in the corporate space, renowned for his exceptional leadership. He built this reputation from his experiences as SRC Chairman at St. Peter’s Secondary School, President of the Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA) at KNUST, and as President of the Wharton African Students Association (WASA) at The Wharton School, US.
Now with over two decades of experience, spanning humble beginnings as a technology consultant at Hewlett-Packard (HP), to service in Africa, the US and the Caribbean, to his current position as CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh is a seasoned leader in telecoms and financial Services.
At MTN Ghana, Selorm has placed his leadership skills to good use, propelling the company to new heights since he took over in 2018. Since then, MTN Ghana has enjoyed an increase in revenue, as stated in the company’s 2023 report which also showed a 36.1% total revenue increase over 2022. The company also holds the the highest subscription rate of Ghana’s four telecommunications services.
Under Selorm’s leadership, MTN Ghana has maintained its community service, especially in supporting the youth to attain better education. To this end, MTN awarded scholarships to 120 students in the third quarter of 2023. The scholarships valued at GHS13.5 million, will cover tuition, stipends and educational materials. MTN Ghana also provided the Mamfe Girls’ School with STEM robotics lab, as well as a 60-bed maternity and neonatal centre for the Keta Municipal Hospital, expected to be completed by year end.
Selorm Adadevoh’s good works have seen him rise to join the most influential people in Ghana and Africa’s digital economy sector.
