AMS-IX and MDXi, an Equinix Company, have jointly launched a new Internet Exchange, AMS-IX Lagos, in Nigeria. The exchange is located in the carrier-neutral data center of MDXi, which will be AMS-IX’s commercial partner for AMS-IX Lagos. Meanwhile, AMS-IX will take care of the technical and operational management of the exchange. The partnership aims to consolidate MDXi’s role as a content hub not only for Nigeria, but also for Francophone and English-speaking West and Central Africa.
