According to a report by staffing firm Teamlease, non-tech sectors in India are expected to hire over 1 million technology professionals by the financial year 2027-28, growing at a CAGR of 7.53%. While the IT sector is experiencing slowdowns and layoffs, tech talent remains in demand and non-tech sectors like banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), consulting, media, retail and consumer business, life sciences and healthcare, engineering research and development and energy and resources, are filling the gap. Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing division of e-commerce and tech giant Alibaba, has announced that it will be reducing prices for its products and services by up to 50%. This move is aimed at capturing a larger share of China’s competitive cloud market. The price cuts will be effective from Wednesday and services that use Arm and Intel-based chips will be reduced by 15% to 20%, while Nvidia’s V100 and T4 graphics processing units will drop between 41% to 47%. IATA (International Air Transport Association) has announced that dnata has become the first company to adopt Connect API, a new feature of IATA’s DG AutoCheck. The adoption of Connect API will help automate data transfer in the air cargo industry, enabling the digitalisation of the sector. Tenable, the Exposure Management firm, has announced that its Tenable One Exposure Management Platform can now be deployed on-premises and in hybrid models through integration with Tenable Security Center 6.1.
