Ooredoo has announced the launch of its Aamali Push-to-Talk (PTT) service for business customers. The PTT over cellular service is a one-to-many communication option for businesses to enable their workforce to collaborate on critical operational tasks. PTT devices can be used as walkie-talkies with unlimited range and enable an individual to reach an active talk group with a single push of a button. Aamali PTT uses advanced voice-transmission technology to ensure that each conversation can be heard clearly.

Business customers can also combine Aamali PTT with multimedia services, such as live video sharing, picture/video uploads and multimedia messaging. Real-time location services are integrated into the Dispatch Console, which allows users to easily reach other users, monitor talk groups, capture call logs and more. A multiple real-time backup mechanism ensures that data is reliably kept safe within Qatar.
Thani Ali al-Malki, Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo, commented that the Aamali Push-to-Talk service is a significant improvement for customers as it eliminates the need to make multiple telephone calls to coordinate a group and its members.
