Nokia and Red Hat, a leading provider of open-source solutions, have entered into a strategic agreement to tightly integrate Nokia’s core network applications with Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Red Hat OpenShift. The partnership aims to provide enhanced support and evolution for existing Nokia Container Services (NCS) and Nokia CloudBand Infrastructure Software (CBIS) customers, while also offering a pathway for gradual migration to Red Hat’s platforms.
Under the agreement, Nokia will continue to directly support its customers, while Red Hat will play a key role in providing ongoing development, services and advanced care for Nokia NCS and CBIS. As customers’ cloud strategies evolve, the collaboration between Nokia and Red Hat will facilitate a smooth transition for those who choose to shift to Red Hat’s platforms.
