The ITP.net Security Leadership Awards has concluded its first-ever edition, which aimed to celebrate and recognise achievements in the regional IT security landscape. The event was supported by the UAE Cyber Security Council and was held at the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai. The awards recognised individuals and organisations who have displayed leadership and commitment to building a secure digital future through innovation in security.
Over 100 nominations were received for the inaugural edition of the ITP.net Security Leadership Awards, indicating the significant cybersecurity innovation taking place in the region. During the ceremony, ITP.net honoured over 14 organisations and individuals across vendor, channel, end-user and personality categories.

The ceremony began with ITP.net presenting the UAE Cyber Security Council with the ‘Cybersecurity Change-maker’ award, in recognition of its efforts to promote security innovation and set new standards for cybersecurity in the region. The keynote address was delivered by His Excellency Dr Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity, UAE Government, who spoke about the importance of cybersecurity in the digital era.
HE Dr. Al Kuwaiti was also recognised as the ‘Influential Cybersecurity Leader’ for his dedication and vision in leading the UAE towards becoming a cyber-secure nation. The awards also honoured four esteemed organisations – CPX, CyberGate, Jaheziya and Strategico – for their work with the UAE Cyber Security Council in strengthening the country’s cybersecurity stature.
