Philips has appointed Marc-Antoine Zora as Chief Executive Officer for its Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region, effective April 1, 2026, as the company accelerates its regional growth and innovation strategy.
The health technology firm said the appointment positions Zora to spearhead expansion efforts, deepen cross-market collaboration, and drive the development of more sustainable, patient-centred healthcare systems at scale across the region.
A 15-year veteran of Philips, Zora brings extensive regional expertise and a strong track record in leading transformation and growth initiatives across diverse markets. Since joining the company in 2011 as an international key account manager, he has held several senior leadership roles, including serving as Philips’ first General Manager for Qatar, District Leader for the Gulf and Levant, and most recently, Business Leader for Image-Guided Therapy across the META region.

The appointment comes as Philips intensifies its focus on digital health informatics and artificial intelligence-driven solutions—technologies seen as critical to addressing the healthcare demands of rapidly growing populations across the region. The company noted that these innovations are enabling more efficient diagnostics and expanding remote patient monitoring capabilities, helping to bridge the healthcare access gap between urban and rural communities.
Commenting on his new role, Zora highlighted the scale of transformation underway across the region. “META is a region of immense opportunity and transformation. Healthcare systems are being reimagined, with a strong focus on access, resilience, and better outcomes for patients,” he said.
He further emphasized Philips’ strategic positioning to support this evolution, adding: “I have seen first-hand the resilience and ambition shaping this region. Philips is uniquely positioned to support this momentum by delivering innovations that improve outcomes, expand access, and ease the burden on care providers.”
The leadership transition underscores Philips’ broader commitment to advancing healthcare delivery through technology, while strengthening its footprint across key emerging markets in the META region.
