Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a London-based group with operations in various regions, has acquired Cysiv MEA, a technology company that specializes in enterprise cloud and cybersecurity services in Egypt, particularly in the financial services sector. The acquisition is expected to introduce some of the best global cloud and cybersecurity products to the Egyptian market and enable Liquid to tap into the wealth of local tech talent in Egypt.

The organization plans to rebrand Cysiv MEA as ‘Liquid C2’ to align it with its global cloud and cybersecurity identity and make Egypt a key hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Liquid aims to grow the Egyptian business significantly and expand its global reach.

Sherif Shaltout, VP of Operations at Cysiv MEA, expressed excitement about joining the Liquid family and being part of an industry-leading brand like Liquid C2. He emphasized that the acquisition would enable their enterprise customers in Egypt and the MENA region to accelerate their digital transformation while acquiring more sophisticated tools to deal with ever-increasing cyber threats.

David Behr, CEO of Liquid C2, acknowledged the critical role Cysiv MEA has played in the cloud and cybersecurity industry in Egypt and the region. Behr stated that Liquid’s main task is to support Cysiv MEA in bringing more cybersecurity tools for its customers as they face an increasingly hostile global threat environment from cybercriminals and nation-state sponsored attackers. Behr added that Liquid would build on Cysiv MEA’s strong market position, experienced leadership, in-depth industry knowledge, world-class team and customer-centric philosophy, which have been synonymous with the Liquid C2 brand.
