Digital Realty the world’s largest provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data center solutions, has announced the appointment of Paula Cogan as Managing Director, Head of EMEA, effective March 17, 2025.
In her new role, Cogan will lead the company’s EMEA team, driving the expansion of its regional data center platform and enhancing the value of PlatformDIGITAL™, the world’s largest global data exchange hub.
Cogan brings over two decades of experience in European telecommunications and infrastructure. Before joining Digital Realty, she served as CEO of euNetworks, a leading bandwidth infrastructure company. She has also held executive roles at Colt Technology Services and Verizon, following an early career at BT.
Based in London, she will succeed Michel van den Assem, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the company. Van den Assem will remain with Digital Realty until the end of May to ensure a seamless transition.
Leadership Transition and Growth Strategy
Digital Realty’s President and CEO, Andy Power, welcomed Cogan’s appointment, highlighting her strong leadership background.
