TikTok has been banned from UK government-issued mobile devices due to security concerns related to the Chinese-owned social media app, according to reports. The announcement was made by Cabinet Office minister, Oliver Dowden, who said that TikTok “could” pose a risk to how government data is used. DMCC, the Dubai-based free zone and government authority on commodities trade and enterprise, has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with South Korean entities to expand Dubai’s position as a hub for Web3 businesses worldwide. Nigeria has launched a $618 million fund under the Digital and Creative Enterprises Program (i-DICE) to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the digital technology and creative industries. The fund is made up of contributions from the African Development Bank, Agence Francaise de Development and the Islamic Development Bank, as well as private sector and institutional investors.
