Western Digital, a US-based data storage supplier, has revealed that it experienced a cyberattack last month, resulting in unauthorised access to multiple company systems, disruption of some business operations and the theft of some data. The incident was detected by the firm’s IT team on March 26 and an investigation is ongoing, with assistance from security and forensic experts and coordination with law enforcement authorities. Western Digital has taken some systems and services offline and is actively working on restoring impacted infrastructure and services. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an Indian IT services company, has received a deal from Bane NOR, a Norwegian government agency, to offer managed cybersecurity services.
