Kenya is positioning itself to harness next-generation digital technologies, driven by ongoing efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure, build local technical capacity and accelerate digital economy growth.
Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr. Stephen Isaboke, EBS, stated that Kenya remains dedicated to fostering innovation and forging strategic partnerships that will help the country keep pace with the fast-changing landscape of information and communication technology. He made these remarks while delivering a keynote address at the FiberHome World Tour, Kenya, held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi.
He stated that FiberHome’s longstanding presence and continued investment in Kenya’s digital ecosystem have contributed to the expansion of connectivity, job creation, skills development and local innovation.
He highlighted initiatives aimed at developing local technical capacity, including specialised training for Kenyan students in emerging technology areas such as artificial intelligence, smart computing, digitisation and satellite communications.

“These technologies are reshaping the future of connectivity and digital services, and Kenya must remain at the forefront of this transformation,” PS Isaboke said.
He confirms Kenya’s willingness to investments and partnerships that strengthen digital infrastructure, build local talent and advance technological innovation, noting that these efforts will contribute to positioning Kenya as a leading digital hub in Africa.
The FiberHome World Tour provided a platform for stakeholders in the ICT sector to explore emerging technologies and trends shaping the future of digital connectivity, while highlighting opportunities for collaboration in advancing Kenya’s digital transformation agenda.
