HMD Global, the company that owns the Nokia mobile phone brand, has announced plans to shift some of its manufacturing to Europe. The move is aimed at satisfying a surge in customer demand for locally-produced devices, driven by concerns about security and sustainability. WhatsApp news platform WaBetaInfo revealed that the app is developing a new version with a feature for scheduled calls like Zoom and Google Meet. Mart Networks, a technology product distributor, has signed an agreement with Ring, a home security solutions provider, to distribute select Ring devices in Kenya, East Africa. Tarsus Technology Group (TTG) has announced the appointment of Senzo Mbhele as Managing Director of Tarsus On Demand (TOD) effective from March 1, 2023. Blue Label Telecoms, which owns almost half of Cell C, is considering making an offer to take control of the mobile operator in the coming months, according to co-CEO Brett Levy.
