Equinix, a global digital infrastructure company, has announced the opening of its third International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data center in Dubai. Known as DX3, the new facility will be Equinix’s largest data center in the region, providing 1,800 cabinets of capacity across two phases and covering a total area of 12,000 square meters (135,000 square feet). Kenyan-based digital training solutions provider, Zydii, has secured pre-seed funding from DOB Equity, Kua Ventures, Kaleo Ventures and NaiBAN. Ericsson and MediaTek have set a new 5G upload speed record of 440 Mbps in low-band and mid-band spectrum using Uplink Carrier Aggregation. The zippy uplink speed brings better, smoother experiences for the likes of video conference users, streamers, and their audience with more frames per second and higher image resolution. The record uplink speed was achieved in an interoperability development test at an Ericsson lab.
