TikTok has reinforced its footprint in Kenya by partnering with Aleph Holdings and Wowzi to enhance advertising operations and provide greater support for local content creators.
The collaboration aims to bolster TikTok’s local infrastructure while opening up new opportunities for businesses and digital creators in the country
Aleph Holdings, a digital advertising company, focuses on making online advertising more accessible, while Wowzi is an influencer marketing platform connecting brands with African content creators.
“These collaborations empower not only Kenyan advertisers with unmatched access to cutting-edge digital ad formats and tailored local support but also open new doors for the immensely talented local creators to thrive and expand their presence on the platform,” said Carl Jordan, TikTok’s Global Business Solutions Head of Sales for Sub-Saharan Africa.
With this partnership, TikTok’s sales and support operations in Kenya will transition to Aleph’s dedicated local team, enhancing expertise and ensuring businesses receive direct access to advertising support and insights.
Stephen Newton, Regional Managing Director for Aleph Holdings Sub-Saharan Africa, noted that most social media ad buying in Kenya is traditionally conducted through in-house teams relying on self-research and company credit cards.
However, Aleph’s collaboration with TikTok will streamline the process, allowing businesses to transact in local currency and gain direct insights from the platform.

Wowzi co-founder and president Mike Otieno added, “There is so much incredible creative talent emerging from Kenya, and TikTok provides a unique platform for these creators to express themselves, connect with the local community, and reach audiences around the globe.”
