After the successful launch of the OPPO Find N2 Flip in the country, the company is slated to bring the OPPO Reno10 to Kenya soon.
OPPO Reno10 is their latest midrange smartphone in the Reno series succeeding the Reno8 from last year.
The Reno series is known for its brilliant camera performance and the Reno10 raises the momentum.
It will come with a new triple setup that consists of a 64MP primary with a 32MP portrait telephoto(2x Zoom) and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The three cameras and the flash are housed in distinct camera island.
The front-facing camera will be the same 32MP selfie camera housed in the centre punch-hole cutout.
Video recording is capped at 4K for the main camera and 1080p for the selfie videos.
OPPO Reno10 has a glass back and front adding to its premium feel. It also comes with stereo speakers(earpiece), NFC, an infrared port(IR Remote app comers included), dual microphones at the top and bottom and an optical under-display fingerprint reader.
For colours, we expect Black, Ice Blue, and Gold.
OPPO Reno10 will come with a 6.7-inch 10-bit AMOLED screen featuring curved edges like the OPPO Reno8 T 5G which launched early this year. The display will sport 120Hz refresh rate, 950 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support(Widevine L1 DRM).
You also get OPPO-specific display features including Video Color Boost and 01 Ultra Vision Engine.
It will be protected by Asahi Glass Dragontrail Star 2 which provides better durability against corner drops for the phone. It is the latest glass protection of 2023 made by Japanese tech giant AGC.
Reno10 comes powered by the newer MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. You also get an additional 5GB of virtual RAM and support for expandable storage via the microSD card slot. This chipset supports Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6.
Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1 come baked inside and the phone is set to get 4 years of major Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches.
OPPO Reno10 will be powered by a 5000mAh battery and support 67W fast Type-C SuperVOOC charging which will charge up the phone to 75% in under 30 minutes.
Pricing is expected to be around the sub-60K range but we’ll wait for the official details during the launch scheduled for 5th September.
