ZTE Corporation and MTN Uganda celebrated ten years of strategic collaboration under their Managed Services partnership. The occasion underscored a shared vision to deepen digital inclusion through AI-powered solutions and next-generation connectivity across Uganda.
The anniversary event, held in Kampala, brought together senior leaders and executives from both tech and telecom giants to reflect on a decade of shared progress in network innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction, setting the stage for future advancements in intelligent broadband and network automation.

Since its inception, the partnership has revolutionized Uganda’s telecommunications landscape, with ZTE describing the jointly built network as “one of the region’s most advanced, reliable, and future-ready telecom infrastructures.”

Over the past 10 years, the collaboration has expanded nationwide network reach, enhanced performance, and elevated user experience, propelling MTN Uganda to consistently secure the top spot in Net Promoter Scores within the MTN Group.
A standout achievement highlighted during the event was the launch of Uganda’s first Service Operations Center (SOC) for MTN Uganda, powered by advanced analytics and automation, which enables real-time network issue resolution, boosting operational efficiency and earning the trust of millions of users.
ZTE’s CEO Wang Lou and Deputy CEO Yuan Yuzhan led the acknowledgment of their dedicated teams, crediting their unwavering commitment to this success, as the company reaffirmed its pledge to remain MTN Uganda’s trusted partner in driving the country’s digital transformation agenda across Africa’s evolving tech ecosystem.
