Saudi Arabia’s efforts to become the top developed area in the region have been paying off, with the economy experiencing significant growth. According to recent data, government activities increased by 2.9%, compared to the previous gain of 2.5% in 2021. The Saudi GDP also expanded by 1.3% on quarterly seasonally adjusted data, after a growth of 1.2% in the third quarter. Additionally, the economy surged by 8.7% for the full year of 2022, a significant acceleration from the 3.9% rise observed before. This rise is a testament to the Kingdom’s investments in transportation infrastructure and urban development, which are set to transform the country and improve the lives of its citizens.

To promote economic growth and development, the government is making significant investments in its tourist and transportation infrastructure to establish a world-class system. Various initiatives are currently underway on the West Coast of the Red Sea that will transform regional mobility. The Kingdom pledged to invest up to $2.7 billion in 2021 to enhance the area’s appeal to tourists worldwide. And now we can see how the industry’s giants such as Red Sea Global are actively working to improve the travel regional infrastructure beyond its previous standards. Today, Red Sea Global is a multi-project developer to make Saudi vision come true, seeking to lead the world towards a more sustainable future, showing how responsible and regenerative development can uplift communities, drive economies, and enhance the environment. The number says for itself this year 3 hotels opened up for new tourists – Six Senses, RItz-Carlton Reserve, and St. Regis backed up by luxury one-of-a-kind Red Sea International Airport with 10 more hotels to be opened in 2024.

Neom is another Saudi Arabian project aimed at transforming the country into a model for other smart cities and testing new technologies. It has received an unprecedented investment of $500 billion from the government, and the first phase of construction is set to be completed by 2025. The area will include a “super smart” city called “The Line”, an industrial area with a seaport named “Oxogen”, and a ski resort called “Trojena”, among other projects. Neom is situated between scenic mountains and the Red Sea, making it a gem of the travel industry, with two five-star hotels, a golf club, and an airport already operational.

All this makes the country a perfect place as a new travel destination. There are several reasons Saudi Arabia is a new perfect five-star travel destination in the years to come

    ● Location: Located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, it takes only 8 hours to come here for 85% of the global population

    ● A year-round destination: An average temperature of 32 °C. The warmer season at The Red Sea starts from mid-April to November, daily temperatures are constantly above 30 °C.

    ● Different travel experiences: over 90 pristine islands, thriving coral reefs, sweeping desert dunes, majestic mountains, and more than 50 dormant volcanoes.

    ● Most beautiful red sea flora and fauna in the region

According to Red Sea Global, by 2030 the region expects to attract a million tourists every year providing them with the best living facilities. This includes 22 developed and 6 inland islands, 50 new resorts with 8000 rooms, and over a thousand residential properties.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has undergone a remarkable transformation from a closed society to a welcoming tourist destination, offering visitors a wealth of experiences that showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage and modern developments. In addition to its breathtaking landscapes, Saudi Arabia boasts a diverse range of attractions that appeal to travellers of all ages and interests.

One of the most popular attractions in Saudi Arabia is its historical and cultural landmarks, which include UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Al-Ula archaeological site and the old city of Jeddah. Visitors can immerse themselves in the country’s rich history and traditions by exploring ancient forts, castles, and museums, which showcase the cultural richness and diversity of Saudi Arabia. Moreover, Saudi Arabia is also home to some of the world’s most luxurious resorts and hotels, offering visitors a chance to indulge in world-class amenities and enjoy the country’s stunning natural landscapes. From the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea to the majestic mountains of the Asir region, Saudi Arabia has a wide variety of landscapes that offer something for every type of traveller. With its ability to compete with top global destinations like the Maldives and Dubai, Saudi Arabia is quickly becoming a must-visit place for travellers seeking new and unique experiences.

Saudi Arabia’s investments in transportation and tourism infrastructure have led to significant economic growth, making it a top destination for travellers seeking new and unique experiences. With the ongoing initiatives to transform the West Coast of the Red Sea and the ambitious Neom project, the country is on track to establish a world-class travel system that offers a diverse range of attractions and appeals to travellers of all ages and interests. The country’s rich cultural heritage, modern developments, and stunning natural landscapes make it an attractive destination for tourists worldwide, and with plans to attract a million tourists every year by 2030, Saudi Arabia is poised to become a major player in the global tourism industry.
