Banco BCS and Mastercard have announced a strategic partnership to expand Mastercard-enabled debit and credit card services and strengthen digital payment options for customers in Angola. The partnership is aimed at meeting the increasing demand for faster, simpler, and more secure payment methods while enhancing Banco BCS’s card offerings and overall customer experience.

Under the initiative, Banco BCS will introduce payment solutions designed to meet different customer lifestyles and financial needs. Existing Mastercard Gold and Mastercard World cardholders will also gain access to enhanced services and benefits.

Eligible customers will have access to The Mastercard Collection, which offers a range of dining, entertainment, travel, and lifestyle benefits. These include selected travel and dining experiences as well as offers available both within Angola and internationally.

By combining Mastercard’s payment technology with Banco BCS’s knowledge of the Angolan market, the two companies aim to provide customers with more convenient, secure, and flexible payment solutions while supporting the continued growth of digital payments in Angola. The partnership will also enable the expansion of contactless payments and improved e-commerce payment capabilities, allowing customers to make faster and more convenient transactions in physical stores and online.

Mastercard Africa Division President Gabriël Swanepoel said the collaboration demonstrates the company’s commitment to improving the payment experience for consumers in Angola by providing simpler, safer, and more convenient payment solutions.

Banco BCS Chief Executive Officer Rafael Arcanjo Kapose said the partnership represents an important step in improving the services available to the bank’s customers, with a focus on innovative and secure payment solutions that offer greater convenience.

The collaboration highlights the shared commitment of Banco BCS and Mastercard to advancing digital payments in Angola and providing secure, reliable, and customer-focused financial services.
