Neko Health, a Swedish startup co-founded by Spotify’s Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, is bringing its innovative approach to preventative healthcare to London, marking its first expansion outside its home market.
The company, known for its annual full-body scans and driven insights, aims to detect conditions like heart disease and skin cancer early on.
For £299 and an hour of your time, Neko Health offers a comprehensive health assessment. The process involves a series of scans and tests that generate millions of data points, providing detailed insights into cardiovascular, metabolic, and other health conditions. The package includes an in-person consultation with a doctor to discuss the results.
This expansion follows a successful launch in Stockholm, where Neko Health opened two clinics within its first year. To date, the company has scanned 2,707 individuals, with 78.5% found to have no significant health issues. However, 14.1% of those tested were advised to seek further medical treatment, and 1% were found to have severe conditions, such as cardiovascular issues or cancer, of which they were previously unaware.

Neko Health, named after the Japanese word for “cat,” symbolizing resilience and luck, takes a minimalist approach to its operations. The London clinic, understated in its appearance, is designed to blend the elegance of a day spa with the advanced technology of a futuristic medical center. The discreet clinic entrance, marked only by a simple logo, leads visitors into a calming, below-ground space where the health assessments take place.
The testing process is both thorough and non-invasive, except for a blood sample. After undergoing various scans and measurements, including a full-body scan with 50 million data points, patients receive a consultation to discuss their health risks and potential preventive measures.
Neko Health’s focus on proactive prevention rather than treating existing conditions sets it apart in the healthcare industry. By identifying potential health risks early, the company aims to empower individuals to take control of their health and avoid future complications.
