stc Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading digital enabler, has signed a new five-year Master Frame Agreement (MFA) with Swedish telecom giant Ericsson to fast-track the deployment of advanced digital infrastructure and enhance technology adoption across the Kingdom.
The agreement allows stc to leverage Ericsson’s cutting-edge portfolio, including 5G hardware and software, cloud-native solutions, advanced managed services, and comprehensive network support. It builds on the companies’ longstanding partnership, which dates back to the successful rollout of one of Saudi Arabia’s first 5G networks in 2019.
Key focuses of the MFA include accelerating nationwide 5G expansion through technologies such as 5G Standalone, 5G Advanced, Massive MIMO, Ericsson Radio System products, cloud-native platforms, and network management solutions. Features like 5G Standalone network slicing will enable stc to offer differentiated connectivity, unlocking new business opportunities and innovative use cases for both consumer and enterprise customers.
“This long-term agreement with Ericsson reinforces stc’s commitment to driving digital transformation and innovation in Saudi Arabia,” said Abdullah M. Alowini, Vice President of Supply Chain at stc Group. “By leveraging advanced technologies, we aim to deliver cutting-edge connectivity that empowers our customers, accelerates enterprise innovation and supports the Kingdom’s ambition to build a globally competitive digital economy.”

The deal also incorporates Ericsson’s managed services to optimise network performance, ensuring a scalable, resilient, and future-ready mobile network. It aligns with stc’s strategic vision for 6G readiness, cognitive self-optimising networks, and broader national priorities like digital inclusion, public safety networks, and enhanced competitiveness under Saudi Vision 2030.
“We know how committed stc Group is to ensure that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 becomes a reality,” said Håkan Cervell, Vice President and Head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia. “We share that commitment and will continue to work closely and productively with stc to deliver digital infrastructure to drive innovation and economic competitiveness goals.”
Analysts view the strengthened partnership as a major boost for Saudi Arabia’s digital ambitions, positioning stc to lead in next-generation connectivity and support the Kingdom’s goal of becoming a global digital powerhouse.
