The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Lagos State University (LASU) has introduced launched the LASU Staff Corner mobile application, an innovative platform which serves as a full resource hub designed for the institution’s staff, in a bid to quicken operations and foster greater efficiency.
Unveiled by the Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the LASU Staff Corner app is set to revolutionise the way staff members access crucial information and navigate the university’s policies and regulations. During the unveiling ceremony held at the Senate Chamber of the university, Prof. Olatunji-Bello highlighted the app’s pivotal role in enhancing productivity and ensuring staff compliance with institutional guidelines.
Prof. Olatunji-Bello stated that the mobile application will function as a centralised repository for a wide range of resources, including information on LASU laws, policies, and operational guidelines. She explained that the app represents a significant step towards promoting transparency and accountability within the academic and non-academic staff community at LASU.
“The app serves as a virtual gateway to our vibrant academic community, offering a window into the heart and soul of our institution,” Prof. Olatunji-Bello stated, adding, “it will include information and resources that embody our policies and operational principles as approved by law and as entrenched in our commitment to excellence in education, research, and community engagement.”
Acknowledging the efforts of the LASU ICT Director, Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, and his team, Prof. Olatunji-Bello commended their dedication to leveraging technology to simplify administrative processes and alleviate staff workload. She echoed the university’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of technological innovation in higher education.
The LASU Staff Corner app is now available for download exclusively for Android users via the university’s website. As LASU continues its journey towards digital transformation, the introduction of this mobile application underscores its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for staff members to thrive and contribute effectively to the institution’s mission of academic excellence and community impact.
