Kenyan-based digital training solutions provider, Zydii, has secured pre-seed funding from DOB Equity, Kua Ventures, Kaleo Ventures and NaiBAN. The funding aims to fuel Zydii’s growth and enhance its range of upskilling solutions for the African business workforce. Founded in 2017 by Joyce Mbaya, an experienced trainer, author and computer scientist, Zydii offers over 100 digital training courses focused on both soft skills and technical skills essential for business growth. These courses are developed in collaboration with local experts and are designed to be accessible and affordable.

Joyce Mbaya, the founder and CEO of Zydii, highlights the importance of providing localized training courses to address the skills gap in the African job market and enhance the capabilities of the working population. The primary objective of Zydii’s courses is to empower the African workforce by offering tailored upskilling opportunities that cater to the needs of emerging businesses across the continent. With the newly acquired funding, Zydii plans to expand its services to clients in various African countries, including Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
