Huawei has announced that Ms. Sabrina Meng will take over as Rotating and Acting Chair of the company from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
This leadership change follows Huawei’s Rotating Chair system. During her term, Ms. Meng will serve as the head of the Board of Directors and its Executive Committee.
Ms. Meng, who currently holds the positions of Deputy Chairwoman, CFO, and Rotating Chairwoman at Huawei, has been a key figure in the company’s growth and transformation since she joined in 1993.
Throughout her tenure, Ms. Meng has played a pivotal role in shaping Huawei’s financial structure and digital transformation. Since 2003, she led the development of a globally unified finance system and the implementation of the Integrated Financial Services (IFS) Transformation Program, which became part of the company’s core management processes.
In 2014, she spearheaded Huawei’s data transformation, establishing a comprehensive data management system that positioned data as a strategic asset for the company.
Under her leadership, Huawei’s finance team has transformed into a critical business partner, driving sustainable growth and enabling agile, intelligent operations based on data and AI. Meng’s contributions have also extended to developing risk control models and integrating financial management platforms, further enhancing Huawei’s global operations.

As Huawei continues to navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape, Ms. Meng’s leadership is expected to strengthen its position and support its strategic goals in the new digital era.
She earned her master’s degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and has held several leadership roles, including Director of the International Accounting Department and CFO of Huawei Hong Kong.
