Ericsson has announced the appointment of Majda Lahlou Kassi as Vice President and Head of Customer Unit West & Southern Africa at its Middle East and Africa,
This development highlights Ericsson’s continued focus on driving Africa’s digital transformation and unlocking the continent’s vast potential.
Majda brings over 26 years of extensive experience in the telecom industry, with expertise in sales, technical operations, and customer project management. Her contributions have been pivotal in implementing transformative projects across Africa and the broader region.
In her new role, she will lead efforts to support Africa’s ambitions for economic diversification and digital transformation, fostering sustainable development across the continent.

Prior to this appointment, Majda served as Head of Customer Unit West Africa and Morocco, overseeing business operations across 23 countries. Since joining Ericsson in 1998, she has held senior leadership roles in technology, sales, strategy, and operations, working in diverse markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Iberia.
Majda’s leadership style is marked by her passion for driving growth, enabling customer success, and building high-performing teams. She is a staunch advocate for diversity and inclusion, previously serving as a member of the D&I board in the Mediterranean region. Her commitment to mentorship has seen her actively coach young leaders within the organization, helping them advance their professional careers.
Majda holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and IT from INPT, Rabat, and a Master of Business Administration from ENPC Paris-EHTP Casablanca.
