Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam), a Saudi Arabian telecommunications and information technology provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dell Technologies to expand their collaboration in cloud infrastructure and Edge AI solutions.

The agreement was signed during LEAP 2026 by Eng. Ahmed Al-Anqari, Chief Executive Officer of Salam, and Mohamed Talaat, Vice President for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, North Africa and the Levant at Dell Technologies. The MoU establishes a framework for the two companies to promote advanced cloud infrastructure and Edge AI technologies among enterprise customers across Saudi Arabia.

Under the agreement, Salam plans to integrate Dell Technologies’ cloud infrastructure and Edge AI solutions into its existing service portfolio. The collaboration is expected to give businesses greater flexibility in adopting digital technologies, improve cost predictability and provide faster access to modern digital services.

Ahmed Al-Anqari said the expanded partnership supports Salam’s goal of helping Saudi businesses adopt next-generation technologies that can make their operations more intelligent, connected and secure. He added that working with Dell Technologies will enable the company to offer enterprise and government customers flexible access to cloud and edge solutions as they modernise their operations.

Mohamed Talaat said Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation is increasing demand for infrastructure that can deliver high performance while scaling with the needs of businesses. He noted that the collaboration with Salam will help make Dell’s Edge AI technologies more accessible to customers across the Kingdom while supporting faster innovation and reducing operational complexity.

The partnership also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 digital transformation objectives. By combining cloud infrastructure with Edge AI capabilities, the collaboration aims to help public and private sector organisations improve operational efficiency, strengthen security and use real-time data intelligence closer to where it is generated.

As Saudi Arabia continues to expand its digital economy, the partnership between Salam and Dell Technologies highlights the growing importance of cloud and edge computing in helping businesses modernise their infrastructure and adopt new digital services.
