Raxio Data Centre Uganda held a breakfast meeting at the Hotel Golden Tulip Canaan Kampala, inviting representatives from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to discuss fostering partnerships between Raxio and government MDAs that require data centre services. The event was the first of many public-sector-specific engagements Raxio plans to hold.
The meeting was well-attended by government representatives from the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU), Ministry of the Local Government, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) and the Uganda Revenue Authority. Raxio’s CEO, James Byaruhanga, highlighted Raxio’s value proposition, including resilience, power, cooling and connectivity, which he believed would make service delivery more efficient, cheaper and quicker.

During the Q&A session moderated by Renny Byamugisha, Trade Marketer at Raxio Uganda, guests shared their comments and concerns. These included Raxio’s choice of Pan-African markets, regulatory policies in place and expansion plans. Robert Tugume, Senior Data Management Officer at the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, commended Raxio for providing secure colocation facilities that allow clients to take full control of their data.
