Global digital infrastructure leader, Vertiv has announced the acquisition of assets and technologies from BiXin Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd (BSE), a Chinese manufacturer specializing in chillers, heat pumps, heat-recovery solutions, and air-handling units.
The move aims to enhance Vertiv’s offerings in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence (AI) applications worldwide.
The acquisition, carried out by Vertiv’s Chinese subsidiary, underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its critical technology portfolio. Founded in 2010, BSE has a proven track record in the Chinese and broader Asian markets, bringing patented technologies, advanced solutions, and robust research and development capabilities to Vertiv’s global operations.
BSE’s flagship products include oil-free, magnetic-bearing centrifugal water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, boasting cooling capacities of up to 5.5 MW. These solutions leverage pumped-refrigerant-economization technology and are recognized for high efficiency, low maintenance, quiet operation, and reliability.

“This acquisition supports our capital allocation strategy, which includes adding technologies that are early in the maturity curve to our portfolio,” said Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Vertiv. “BSE’s solutions complement and enhance our existing chiller portfolio, enabling us to meet the growing demand for air and liquid cooling in support of high-performance compute and AI. Vertiv now offers the most complete critical digital infrastructure portfolio, strengthened by BSE’s advanced technologies.”
Since early 2024, Vertiv and BSE have collaborated to manufacture Vertiv-branded products for customers in China and across Asia. BSE is an Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Institute (AHRI)-certified test facility and a member of the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA). Its products carry AHRI and CRAA certifications, reinforcing their quality and reliability.
York Zha, CEO of BSE, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “We’ve enjoyed an outstanding relationship with Vertiv and look forward to officially joining the company. By combining our portfolios, we aim to deliver efficient and reliable chiller and heat-recovery solutions for data center customers globally.”
