The Tunisian government, led by Prime Minister Najla Bouden, held a ministerial working session at the Government Palace in Kasbah to discuss the work plan for the activation of the auto-entrepreneur system. The meeting aimed to enhance coordination among relevant stakeholders and expedite the establishment of an electronic platform to facilitate enrollment in the system.
As part of Tunisia’s e-governance program, known as “Govtech”, the auto-entrepreneur system plays a crucial role in supporting the digital transformation of public services. The program, implemented in collaboration with the World Bank, seeks to extend social security coverage to individuals engaged in various sectors such as industry, crafts, trades and services. By integrating the informal sector into the formal economy, the government aims to foster economic growth and development.
