Tech focused magazine, TechBerg, has unveiled Tim Cook, C.E.O of Apple Inc as its Tech personality of the week.
Tim Cook has proven to be multi-dimensional and productive, being the seventh chief executive officer of Apple Inc, an American multinational technology company that specializes in consumer electronics and online services.
Cook focused his attention mainly on Apple or on issues where the company plays a part. He has led the company into becoming one of the world’s largest companies.
Within months of his appointment, Apple’s stock price almost doubled and sales remained strong, the company’s revenue and profit increased from $348 billion to $1.9 trillion.
Prior to his appointment as the C.E.O, Cook served as Apple’s chief operating officer and was responsible for all of the company’s worldwide sales and operations.
He also led Apple’s Macintosh division and played a great role in the development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships.
Under his leadership, he advocated for the political reformation of international and domestic surveillance, cybersecurity, American manufacturing, and environmental preservation.
Tim Cook was formerly the director of North American Fulfillment at IBM, where he managed manufacturing and distribution functions for IBM’s Personal Computer Company in both North and Latin America.
He is well known for his social and security debates. He graduated from Auburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering.
