Africa-focused tech magazine, TechBerg has unveiled Zandile Keebine, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GirlCode as its Woman in Tech Wednesday (WTW).
WTW, one of the most high-profile tech personality ratings is a weekly review and rating of female tech personalities in Africa. It’s a special publication based on critical analysis and facts in the tech space.
Zandile Keebine is a software developer and a Business Analyst. Her tech journey began in 2013, at Johannesburg Centre for Software Engineering, where she was an intern. The program ignited her passion for technology and discovered her passion for creating life-changing solutions using code.
Zandile Keebine is always passionate about empowering women in technology and believes in gender representation in the tech industry.

Her vision is to create a network of women who are highly skilled technologists with leadership skills to be able to contribute to an inclusive and innovative technology industry. This led to the innovation of GirlCode, a non-profit organization that aims to reduce the gender gap in the tech industry by offering free coding classes with the mission of empowering 10 million women and ladies with tech skills.
Currently the CEO of GirlCode, Zandile Keebine is resilient and hardworking and has won several awards among which are the 50 Most Inspiring Women in ICT 2018 Award and a social entrepreneurship award.
