The Africa Digital Economy Awards continues to be the premier platform for celebrating excellence and innovation in digitization, recognizing individuals and organizations at the forefront of Africa’s digital transformation for nearly a decade.
This year’s ADEA demonstrated the rapid advancements and immense talent driving Africa’s digital economy, continuing to spotlight individuals and organizations paving the way for the continent’s technological growth.
The 9th edition of the Africa Digital Economy Awards (ADEA), often hailed as the ‘Oscars’ of Africa’s ICT industry, was held at the prestigious Emara Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The event celebrated the achievements of visionary leaders and organizations driving innovation across Africa’s digital economy.
Recognized as one of the continent’s most prestigious technology awards, the ADEA honoured the groundbreaking work of Africa’s digital leaders who are shaping the future of technology and digital development across the continent.
The awards highlighted the accomplishments of organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of Africa’s ICT sector.
Digital Realty Nigeria was recognized as the Datacentre Regional Provider of the Year, while SEACOM won the Carrier Wholesales Provider of the Year and Team of the Year awards. Vertiv took home two awards: AI Ready Infrastructure Solutions Provider of the Year and Innovative Power Management Solutions Provider of the Year.
Other notable winners included Zoho Sign, which was honoured with Digital Signature Product of the Year, and IHS Cameroon for its Tower Initiative of the Year with Tower Kiosk. Enovise was recognized for the Best Use of AI in Cybersecurity, and Unicloud Africa was named Emerging Pan-African Cloud Services Provider of the Year.
On individual award categories, Yatin Gandhi, Vice President – Africa at Tejas Networks, was named Technology Person of the Year. At the same time, Dr. Ayotunde Coker, CEO of Open Access Data Centres, received the Industry Personality of the Year award.
In addition, Kodou Jeng, CEO and Founder of Women in STEM Gambia & WiSTEM Africa, was awarded STEM Woman of the Year, and Sajid Ahmad Khan, Group MD Digital Services at SEACOM, received the Outstanding Contribution to the ICT Industry award. Ali Hussein, Executive Board Member of the Africa Fintech Network, was recognized as Fintech Man of the Year among others.
