In a landmark move to accelerate the transition toward net-zero emissions, Orange has signed a first-of-its-kind decarbonization agreement with the Camusat Group, a global leader in sustainable telecom infrastructure solutions.
The partnership is part of Orange’s ambitious ‘Partners to Net Zero Carbon’ program, which engages suppliers in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its supply chain.
The agreement sets clear and measurable targets for reducing CO₂ equivalent emissions associated with the products and services provided by Camusat. Key areas of focus include minimizing energy consumption of technical infrastructure, incorporating sustainable materials, and improving logistics efficiency.
Orange, which aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, is placing special emphasis on Scope 3 emissions—indirect emissions from its value chain—which represent over 80% of the Group’s total GHG footprint. The collaboration with Camusat is a strategic step in addressing these emissions through targeted supplier partnerships.
“This partnership with Camusat illustrates our desire to work hand in hand with our suppliers to accelerate the energy transition and reduce our collective carbon footprint,” said Elizabeth Tchoungui, Executive Director for Corporate Social Responsibility at Orange Group.
Camusat, which already has a validated low-carbon strategy endorsed by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), will provide detailed data on its solutions’ carbon footprint. This information will help Orange enhance its Scope 3 reporting accuracy and support more informed emissions-reduction strategies.

“As we pursue our own GHG reduction goals, this collaboration helps us support companies like Orange in their sustainability journey,” said Elodie Perrigot, Director of ESG, HSE, Ethics & Sustainability at Camusat. “Our low-carbon infrastructure solutions are critical to meeting the growing demand for renewable energy in telecom.”
The two companies have a long-standing working relationship, particularly across markets in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This latest agreement marks a significant evolution in their partnership, underscoring a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and climate action within the global telecommunications sector.
