Nigeria has been struggling with a persistent electricity challenge, with 60%-70% of its population lacking access to reliable power, affecting the quality of life for millions and also incurs substantial economic losses estimated at 1.26 trillion naira annually.
In response to this issue, Hinen, an expert in residential energy storage solutions, is set to participate in Powerelec Nigeria from February 20th to 22nd (Booth C10). The company aims to showcase its latest products and solutions, offering professional technical services tailored for African users.
Hinen’s household energy storage products, such as the Mini System, offer a sustainable alternative to traditional self-owned generators. These solutions will leverage Nigeria’s abundant solar resources, converting solar energy into valuable electricity for households and small-scale commercial users.
The Mini System, comprising solar photovoltaic panels, a portable power supply, and a Smart Box, was developed to address the daily power needs of users. With an output power of 3KW, it can provide 2.5KWh of electricity, supporting simultaneous solar and grid charging while supplying power to various household appliances.
One of the key features of the Mini System is its ability to automatically switch to battery power mode within 14 milliseconds during sudden power outages, ensuring stable and continuous power supply. Furthermore, the system offers flexible capacity configurations ranging from 2.5KWh to 17.5KWh, catering to diverse energy customization needs.
In addition to its functionality, the Mini series boasts user-friendly operation, emitting only 30 decibels of sound during use, akin to sleep-level noise.
Hinen’s Africa representative, Atam, assured that Hinen would use its participation in the Powerlec exhibition to “provide competitive and innovative residential energy storage systems to the African market, along with detailed installation guidance and training.”
He also mentioned Hinen’s collaboration with a local bank in Nigeria to offer flexible financing options and discounted services for small and medium-sized enterprises, benefiting hundreds of members of the Barber Association and multiple churches. Hinen aims “to empower even more partners.”
