eTranzact International has expressed its commitment to becoming a regional leader in the electronic and mobile payment industry.
This was highlighted during the company’s 20th Annual General Meeting held in Lagos, where the Chairman, Mr. Wole Abegunde, outlined the company’s strategic goals.
“We are poised and committed to being a regional leader in the medium term and, in the long term, a global leader in the electronic and mobile payment industry,” said Abegunde. He emphasized that eTranzact will continue to offer secure, cost-effective, and innovative payment services compliant with globally recognized standards.
During the meeting, Abegunde presented the company’s financial performance to the shareholders, noting a record profit before tax of N 2.201 billion. This marks a historic achievement for eTranzact, accompanied by a gross revenue of N 33.91 billion for 2023, the highest in the company’s history.

The Chief Executive Officer of eTranzact, Niyi Toluwalope, also addressed the shareholders, stating that 2023 was a significant year for the company. “eTranzact International Plc maintained an upward trajectory in 2023,” Toluwalope said, highlighting the increased volume and value of transactions processed across all of the company’s channels and solutions compared to 2022. He noted that eTranzact further solidified its position as the leading provider of high-end switching services, expanding its market share and reach.
Toluwalope also mentioned significant improvements in the company’s services, including faster average transaction processing times and instant transaction status responses. Additionally, the company made notable upgrades to the user interface of its solutions, aiming to provide a top-notch user experience and ensure seamless transactions at every stage.
