In a series of impactful engagements, newly instated CEO of the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Jane Egerton-Idehen, has engaged key NIGCOMSAT stakeholders as she seeks to efficiently deliver NIGCOMSAT’s mission.
The discussions focused on creating an effective and innovative working environment to enhance the execution of NIGCOMSAT’s mandate, which is to provide ubiquitous high-speed coverage over areas that terrestrial network operators cannot reach.
This follows the tone set by Nigeria’s Minister for Communications, Innovations, and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, who has highlighted the importance of NIGCOMSAT’s role in the nation’s telecommunications and technology landscape.
There were further meetings with esteemed industry partners as the NIGCOMSAT team moved on to consult with Funke Opeke, CEO of MainOne, a longstanding partner of NIGCOMSAT. The discussions with MainOne revolved around leveraging the partnership between the two organisations to provide mutual benefit, drive innovation, and elevate the quality of satellite technology in Nigeria.
Subsequently, NIGCOMSAT’s representatives visited EStream Networks and the team at CBC emea, striving to build and strengthen partnerships across the industry.
With NIGCOMSAT’s operations now in full swing, Jane Egerton-Idehen expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by her partners and stakeholders, as she stressed on her devotion to advancing Nigeria’s satellite technology sector.
