At GISEC, Microsoft will showcase mixed reality experiences using HoloLens 2 powered by Microsoft Azure’s reliability, scalability and security. Mixed reality combines the physical and digital worlds, with holograms representing digital information that responds to commands and interacts with real-world surfaces in real-time. Together with DXC Technology, Microsoft will leverage Mixed Reality, IoT and AI to unlock the potential of the industrial metaverse and deliver a modern approach to crime scene investigation through data forensics and incident response.
Visitors to Microsoft’s exhibit will be immersed in a crime scene investigation demo, taking on the role of law-enforcement officers. The simulation will showcase virtual markers, trace 3D objects, gather multimedia evidence and transport back to the scene virtually at any time, boosting collaboration and case outcomes.
