Dr. Maida was born in Katsina State in 1979. Maida’s journey to the top has been nothing short of extraordinary. He obtained his MEng in Information Engineering from Imperial College, London, and a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the prestigious University of Bath, UK. Maida’s academic prowess is matched only by his practical accomplishments.
His career history reads like a roadmap to success, with notable positions at leading companies such as Ubiquisys and EE, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the future of intelligent 3G and LTE small cells. Maida held key positions at Arca Payments Network and Cisco Systems, UK, where he showcased his exceptional leadership skills and ability to navigate complex technological landscapes. Maida’s ambitions extend far beyond the corporate world.
In 2018, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery and innovation, completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (FinTech Pathway) program at the renowned Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK. This program not only honed his business acumen but also ignited his passion for driving growth and development in the ever-evolving FinTech and Telecoms sectors.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of NCC, He was the Executive Director, of Technology & Operations at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS) where he spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives that revolutionized the financial industry in Nigeria.
