LOOP DFS, the fast-rising lifestyle digital banking platform backed by NCBA Group, has named Bryan Kariuki as its new Chief Product Officer, tasking him with driving the next wave of product innovation and accelerating growth across consumer, merchant, and platform ecosystems.
Kariuki, a seasoned fintech and digital transformation leader, brings a proven track record of scaling high-impact financial solutions for mass-market Africa. He joins LOOP DFS from SeamlessHR, Africa’s leading HR and payroll SaaS provider, where he serves as Vice President for Eastern Africa.
Widely recognised for turning strategy into market-leading products, Kariuki has previously held senior roles at Cellulant, Copia Global, and Mawingu and provided advisory leadership to Old Mutual, Juhudi Kilimo, and Purple Elephant Ventures. His early career at McKinsey & Company in Johannesburg sharpened his ability to craft winning strategies in fast-moving environments.

At Copia, he spearheaded the digital pivot that shifted 39% of rural orders to online channels and later served as Interim CTO during a critical transition. At Mawingu, he drove commercial expansion, secured funding rounds, and expanded affordable internet access, while at Cellulant, he helped cement one of Africa’s largest digital payment networks.
A passionate advocate for inclusive innovation, Kariuki also sits on the boards of Juhudi Kilimo (Independent Director) and Old Mutual (Advisory Board), where he shapes technology and innovation strategies for emerging markets.
