This new route, which includes a groundbreaking fibre link across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) from Goma to Kananga, provides enhanced redundancy, resilience and connectivity to landlocked countries. It also serves as an alternative option in the event of a subsea cable outage between Kenya and South Africa.
