The London Internet Exchange (LINX), a global leader in internet exchange services, has unveiled two strategic partnerships to enhance connectivity for underserved regions and streamline cloud access for its members.
LINX has joined forces with INDATEL, a U.S.-based collective of over 900 rural and regional broadband providers, and Megaport, a Network as a Service (NaaS) provider, to drive innovation in interconnection and cloud services.
The partnership with INDATEL aims to deliver high-quality, cost-effective peering and interconnection services to rural and regional areas across the United States, where access to robust connectivity has historically been limited.
As an INDATEL Affiliate, LINX will work closely with the collective to promote the benefits of Internet Exchange Point (IXP) connectivity, enabling rural ISPs to connect more efficiently with global content and cloud providers.
Inga Turner, LINX’s Head of Existing Business, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration: “Joining INDATEL as an Affiliate aligns with our mission to empower underserved broadband networks.
This partnership opens doors for rural ISPs to access global platforms efficiently, and we’re excited to support their growth.” Turner also noted a four-fold surge in traffic at LINX’s NoVA facility last year, underscoring the growing demand for localized interconnection.

Shiloh Vance, INDATEL’s Director of Marketing, echoed the sentiment: “LINX’s expertise strengthens our ability to provide rural and regional providers with direct access to critical infrastructure and global content, paving the way for continued growth in connectivity.”
In a parallel move, LINX has partnered with Megaport to enhance its Cloud Connect service, offering members seamless access to major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud.
This collaboration leverages Megaport’s global network, allowing LINX members in London to connect to cloud providers through a single, multi-service port, simplifying billing and support.
Emmanuel Sevray, Megaport’s VP of EMEA Sales, highlighted the partnership’s impact: “By combining Megaport’s global infrastructure with LINX’s interconnection services, we’re providing UK networks with a faster, simpler path to the cloud, reducing complexity and enhancing access to essential services.”
