German cleaning technology company Kärcher has appointed Joe Lahoud as Regional President for its newly unified Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, placing 68 countries under a single leadership structure as part of efforts to streamline operations and accelerate growth.
The company announced on Monday that the consolidation merges its Middle East and African businesses into one coordinated structure designed to enhance access to its portfolio of more than 1,000 professional and consumer cleaning products. These include high-pressure cleaners, industrial scrubber driers, autonomous robots and municipal sweepers.

Under the new framework, Lahoud will lead initiatives to strengthen distribution networks, expand technical support capabilities and tailor solutions for key sectors such as agriculture, construction, healthcare, hospitality, transport and mining across both regions.
Lahoud, who has headed Kärcher’s Middle East operations since 2020, oversaw a period of strong growth and expanded partnerships with governments, industrial operators and professional service providers. Operating from Dubai, he will now supervise the integration of African operations while driving expansion in emerging markets.
“The unification of the MEA region allows us to tell a complete brand story,” Lahoud said. “From household cleaning needs to heavy-duty industrial applications, we are delivering a unified vision of efficiency and sustainability across both continents.”
Kärcher stated that the consolidation strengthens its footprint in key African markets, including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Kenya, while reinforcing its continent-wide dealer network.
The company described the move as a strategic milestone within its global growth agenda, aimed at aligning regional expertise with increasing demand for modern cleaning technologies and infrastructure solutions across the Middle East and Africa.
