Infobip has announced its recognition as a leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) for the second consecutive year.
The Croatian-based IT and telecom firm believes this recognition highlights its commitment to providing CPaaS solutions that empower businesses to deliver exceptional customer experiences by seamlessly integrating omnichannel communications.
Gartner is an American technological research and consulting firm, that conducts technology research and shares its findings through private consulting, executive programs, and conferences.
CPaaS is a cloud-based platform that provides Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for businesses to integrate real-time communication features like SMS and video teleconferencing into their applications. With CPaaS, developers can incorporate communication capabilities directly into existing applications without building expensive backend infrastructure.
Infobip stated that businesses need agile and innovative solutions to connect with customers on their terms.
The company also aims to drive business agility by enabling rapid deployment and scaling of communication strategies to meet evolving market demands. Infobip continues to invest in automation via its AI Hub and uses AI across its CPaaS stack. It is also investing in Experiences for horizontal- and vertical-specific use cases. The company is extending its partner and developer ecosystem, network APIs, self-serve capabilities, and advanced security features.
One of Infobip’s strengths is creating solution-oriented go-to-market (GTM) strategies that leverage its own and partners’ professional services, enabling it to bring CPaaS to customers who might be daunted by more developer-focused initiatives.
Meanwhile, CPaaS X is used by large organizations for an enhanced CPaaS experience, facilitating onboarding and compliance with sending and provisioning strategies to reduce integration efforts. In Gartner Peer Insights, customers cited Infobip’s global reach, with 43 data centers, as a key strength, along with its flexibility, reputation, and responsive support.

However, some customers have reported through Gartner client inquiries that Infobip’s pricing is not always transparent and is perceived to be relatively higher than other vendors. Infobip’s brand awareness in North America continues to be lower than in EMEA and APAC, despite acquisitions of Peerless Network and OpenMarket, but it is growing. Additionally, some customers spearheading innovation reported that some features need “polishing” before going live to the market.
