iCodejr, an accredited online coding academy for school children, has partnered with 42 Abu Dhabi to host the Abu Dhabi Chapter of Code Battle, a coding competition for students. The competition will be divided into two segments: Grades 9-13 will take place on September 30th, while Grades 1-8 will be hosted on October 1st. Code Battle aims to foster collaboration, enhance cognitive creative skills and showcase students’ coding proficiency. Participating teams, consisting of 2 to 3 students, will compete in three grade groups: 1-4, 5-8 and 9-13. The winning teams from each emirate will have the opportunity to compete for the title of ‘National Level Grand Champions’.

42 Abu Dhabi, an innovative coding school launched in 2020 as an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and Ghadan 21 accelerator program, will host the hackathon at its campus. The school is focused on developing and upskilling Emirati talents in coding to empower them for Abu Dhabi’s digital future. Since its inception, 42 Abu Dhabi has enrolled 475 students, including 139 UAE national students, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s commitment to creating an inclusive education infrastructure that equips students with the necessary skills for specialized careers in vital industries.
Marcos Muller Habig, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, expressed his honor in being part of the inaugural Code Battle event in Abu Dhabi. He emphasized the school’s dedication to nurturing a generation of aspiring coders and equipping them with the skills required to shape Abu Dhabi’s digital landscape.
